Welcome
Welcome to Franciscan University’s conference web site. Franciscan University is committed to evangelizing our culture, and our conference apostolate is one way we have been doing that for almost 35 years.
The 2009 summer conference theme is “Christ Our Hope.” Christians in America face a number of serious challenges, so it is comforting to know our God is present with us and provides a future full of hope. Confidence in this future should affect our lives today with a hopeful attitude that produces the fruit of love, joy, and peace in the depths of our hearts. This hope stems from the reality that we are known and loved by Jesus Christ and his promise that he is with us no matter what happens. His love for us is constant and, therefore, our life is good. Even if bad things happen, we can trust in him because, “We know that all things work for the good for those who love God, and are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
During the summer of 2009, Franciscan University invites you to rediscover hope. From the Defending the Faith Conference, where you’ll explore the “Reasons for Hope” to the Catholic Charismatic Conference, where you’ll see how hope is lived out through “Charisms in the Life and Mission of the Church,” each of our six adult conferences will plumb the depths of hope, helping you remember why you hope, in what you hope, and how you are to hope.
Please take some time to explore the conference information on this site. We look forward to serving you and seeing you on campus this summer!
